A beautiful English Countryside Wedding wearing Phillipa Lepley Couture
The bride wore Phillipa Lepley couture for her beautiful English Countryside wedding.
Phillipa Lepley bride Georgina married on the banks of Loch Lomond wearing a couture, corseted, Italian duchess satin gown, paired with a delicate two-tier, ‘Buttercup’ lace silk tulle veil.
Crafted from Italian duchess satin, Georgina’s couture wedding dress featured a corseted bodice and a softly draped square neckline. Long satin organza sleeves, almost weightless in their delicacy, framed the silhouette. A bespoke box pleat at the centre back introduced an added dimension of volume. The design struck a perfect balance: timeless, yet contemporary.
“I had always wanted long sleeves for my dress, and thought that a square neckline would both suit me and help to make a traditional shape look a little more modern.”
Though originally drawn to the idea of lace, Georgina ultimately embraced the purity of satin during her appointment at the Shop on Chelsea’s Fulham Road.
Lace was instead incorporated through the Buttercup two-tier silk tulle veil, designed to complement the family tiara. Crafted with meticulous care in fine French lace and silk tulle, every element, scale and proportion was carefully measured to create balance. The softness of the tulle offered a contrast to the satin’s sheen, while the veil’s delicate lace edging brought Georgina’s love of lace into the look.
Georgina’s fittings at the Phillipa Lepley Conservatory became as treasured as the gown itself. Subtle adjustments were made over time by the Atelier team, almost imperceptible to the eye, but transformational in effect.
“It was those minuscule tweaks that made the dress fit like an absolute glove and made me feel so confident on the day.”
