Grace is a contemporary, couture collection of exquisite wedding dresses, inspired both by Phillipa Lepley’s lifelong love of the delicate shapes, beauty and lightness found in the natural world and by the gracefully elegant styles and silhouettes of the 1950s.
THE INSPIRATION
Dresses, capelets, coats and veils showcase enchanting design elements from this era of couture that perennially influences Phillipa, from bubble skirts, dropped waists and straight necklines to hand-painted taffeta and satin fabrics, Hollywood-starlet stoles and a spectacular, full-length silver coat. Bows, a Phillipa Lepley signature and a detail which makes the designer’s heart sing, are oversized for dramatic effect, in the finest duchess satin sourced from Lake Como. Exquisite hand-embroidery brings the organic charm of cornflowers, acanthus leaves, orchids, peonies and myrtle to life.

GRACE AND STYLE
Lightness and impact go hand in hand; layers are carefully crafted for movement and a feminine, voluminous effect, while also ensuring dresses feel effortless and ethereal. This contrasts beautifully with fitted bodices, concealing the Phillipa Lepley corset which is a signature design crafted with the utmost skill, artistry and care. Phillipa has incorporated coats, capes, capelets and a specially developed standalone lace corset with separate skirt into Grace, allowing for great styling versatility within the collection. Artistic shoulder and sleeve details, such as bows and cornflowers ‘floating’ on tulle, add couture flair, subtle colour and flattering coverage. For the first time, lace applique is combined with hand embroidery, incredibly intricate to achieve, to exquisite effect.
