Moulante Maiden’s Fern

‘Moulante Maiden’s Fern’ translates one of Phillipa Lepley’s signature hand embroideries into vibrant eveningwear.

The design features a contemporary, slim silhouette in cornflower blue silk crepe, shaped with a specialist corset to define the waist before falling into a soft, elongated column with a subtle A-line finish.

Intricately hand-embroidered Maidenhair fern leaves and primrose motifs cascade across the gown, with crescents of flowers tracing the décolleté and a trio of primroses framing the face at the neckline. The design is arranged in an elegant symmetrical pattern, enriched with pearls and fine sparkle beading to catch the light.

Developed by the in-house embellishment team, the embroidery combines varying tones of blue thread and beadwork to create depth, with a denser placement through the skirt. Floating cap sleeves and a structured high-neck collar frame the face, while the embroidery softens and fades naturally towards the hem.
